Smart About Money (SAM) is a student-run financial well-being program. SAM is designed to serve as a financial resource to students, to help them be smart with their money and provide tools to set students up for success. They conduct presentations, workshops, events and even 1:1 sessions with peer financial advisors. UMass Smart About Money is working with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to recruit volunteers to prepare simple tax returns during the spring semester. UMass Student Nutritionists
The UMass Student Nutritionists at the Body Shop is a free resource to students who would like individual counseling regarding any nutritional goals and concerns. Counseling is performed by fellow students that have gone through an extensive training program along with earning their undergraduate degrees in nutrition. EY has opened applications for their Winter and Summer 2024 Assurance and Tax internships! Students that will be CPA eligible by August 2025 are invited to apply. These opportunities are currently only available to target student populations, so members are encouraged take advantage of this early opportunity to apply.
