Our next meeting will be held onMonday, September 30th at 7pm in Flavin Auditorium (Isenberg 137). At this meeting, we will be joined by Caitlyn Rosello, a fellow UMass WIB alum and a TTI recruiter. She will be sharing insights on company's $13.3 billion success in cordless technology across industries like construction and consumer markets. She will also be sharing some valuable interview prep, so be ready to take notes if you so please.

Committee Sign Ups:

Marketing Committee: If you are looking to get more involved in WiB and are interested in marketing, fill out this form. Their first meeting will be TODAY, September 25th at 7pm in Isenberg room N145.

Community Service Committee: If you are looking to get more involved in both the on and off-campus community through WiB, fill out this form. Their first meeting will be Wednesday, October 9th at 7pm in Isenberg room N145.

Peer Mentorship: If you are looking for guidance from an older WiB member with making your schedule, finding and using Isenberg resources, or just want to get to know other members, fill out this form. This is the perfect opportunity to meet WIB members in a smaller setting. The deadline to fill the form out is September 29th, so make sure to fill it out as soon as possible!

Reminders:

Membership Dues: Dues for the year are $10. Paying these gains you access to joining the committee meetings, special events (field trips and social events), makes you a first consideration when applying for E-Board, allows you to put “Active Member of WiB” on your resume, and access to the WiB Membership Packet. You can do this one of two ways: 

  • Venmo @IsenbergWiB with your full name and UMass Email

  • Bring cash to our next meeting and sign excel sheet at end of meeting!

Social Events: Our social events committee is starting to plan for the year and they want to hear your ideas! Fill out this form to input your suggestions!

UMass Opportunities

Minutemen Equity Fund: MEF is an autonomous student-run fund that seeks to prepare members for competitive careers in finance, and other related fields. They recently opened applications to their eight week Diversity Development Program (DDP) for this fall! This program is intended for freshmen of any major and offers hands-on equity research experience, 1:1 mentorship from a senior member in the fund, and an opportunity for a final round Junior Analyst interview. Their applications for the program are due September 30th at 11:59 PM and can be found here.

Minutemen Fixed Income Fund: The Minutemen Fixed Income Fund is currently seeking applications for their diversity program, DIFI. With their guidance and support, MFIF analysts find jobs and internships in some of the most competitive fields, including Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, Research, and Asset Management. The DIFI program takes place every fall to introduce diverse freshmen and sophomores to financial research, specifically in fixed income. The program requires no prior financial skills or experience, only a desire to learn. The DIFI Program consists of weekly meetings, speaker sessions, networking, shadowing, and 1 on 1 support, all designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed for success. At the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to participate in a final round interview for a Junior Analyst position. Protect our Breasts Club: Protect our Breasts aims to share the conversation about chemicals in everyday products found on the grocery shelves that contribute to breast cancer; empowering women to make safer choices to protect their breasts during the most vulnerable periods of their lives. If you're looking to make better choices, you can stay informed on updates and future meetings by signing up for their email list here.

Women of Isenberg Conference: Join the 2025 Women of Isenberg Conference Student Ambassador Program! This event will be held on February 15th, 2025 and Student Ambassadors will moderate a panel at the conference as well as help with other pre conference and day of logistical tasks. This is a great opportunity to network with industry professionals and distinguished alumni! This position is open to UMass Amherst students.
