Tomorrow: Female Employee Panel with EY!

Happy Sunday! 

Thank you for joining us last week for our first meeting of the year! We hope you enjoyed learning about WiB and all the exciting things we have planned for this year. We cannot wait to get started!

As a reminder, our next meeting will be held tomorrow, Monday, September 18th at 7pm in Flavin Auditorium. This meeting will be led by female representatives from the Big Four accounting firm, EY. These incredible representatives will be telling us all about EY and what working there is all about. They will be sharing their first-hand experiences as women in business along with some exciting opportunities that you can apply to! If you are interested in learning more, please join us tomorrow. They have been kind enough to provide pizza, so come hungry!

Membership Dues: Dues for the year are $10. Paying these gains you access to special events (field trips and social events), makes you a first consideration when applying for E-Board, allows you to put “Active Member of WiB” on your resume, and gives you access to our WiB Membership Packet!

UMass Opportunities

  • UMass iCons Program: First and second-year students, iCons is a program dedicated to inspiring a diverse cohort of innovators equipped with the mindset and skills necessary to tackle society's challenges. Our program enrolls students from diverse academic backgrounds, representing up to 45 different majors in STEM and business. iCons is a 20-credit undergraduate certificate program, to learn more click here!

  • MEF Fund: The Minuteman Equity Fund is looking for freshmen and sophomores of diverse backgrounds and all majors to enroll in their Diversity Development Program. This is a 9-week program that will offer students an opportunity to learn about the financial industry, equity research, and manage a fund of around $400,00. Other Opportunities

  • Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business Convention: This opportunity is on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 9am to 5pm and can be attended in person on Harvard’s campus or on Zoom. They have a full day of programming scheduled with over 20+ speakers, a resume workshop, and a social impact casing workshop! Buy tickets here!

  • Harvard Women in Business Social Impact Conference (SIC): This will be held September 23, from 10am to 4pm at the Student Organization Center at Hilles. Tickets are $20 and include lunch and breakfast. This event will discuss the key topics of social impact, social innovation, and questions of diversity within the business world, and will feature panelists from DE&I offices, Wall Street, and the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
