Due to the long weekend, our next meeting will be held on TUESDAY, October 10th at 7 pm in Flavin Auditorium as the University will be following a Monday schedule. We will be hosting Travelers, an insurance company known for both its commercial and personal protection plans. They will share more about the company, and opportunities for students within their Product Management Development Program. They will also be sharing resume and interview tips and tricks, so be sure to join us!

UMass Opportunities

  • Women of Isenberg Student Ambassador Program: Want to help plan the 11th Annual Women of Isenberg Conference? This event will be held on February 10th, 2024 and Student Ambassadors will contribute to the conference throughout the planning process and even moderate some of the panels! This position is open to UMass Amherst students of all majors, genders, and backgrounds! Apply here by midnight on Friday, October 6th.

  • Citi Bank x UMass: Citi Bank is partnering with the UMass Finance Society and Smart Women Securities to host a virtual panel and networking session with UMass alumni! They will be informing freshmen and sophomores about Sales and Trading as well as Citi's Early ID and Sophomore Leadership Programs. This will take place Wednesday, October 4th from 7 to 8 pm, register here!

  • Smart Women Securities: SWS is hosting "Beyond Your Degree: Careers In Finance," this event contains panels, career preparation workshops, student/alumni networking, and a dinner catered by Bueno y Sano! It aims to shed light on various career paths a degree from Isenberg can lead to. It will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 1-6 pm in the Hub, register here!

  • Audax Women in Private Debt Forum: This forum is a half-day program that gives an overview of careers in finance and the alternative asset industry with a focus on the Audax Private Debt platform. Selected participants will be invited to the workshop, where they will learn the skills necessary for a successful career in finance and network with investment professionals from the firm. This opportunity is open to sophomore women of any major, be sure to apply here by Monday, October 23rd.

  • Minutemen Fixed Income Fund: MFIF is currently seeking applications for its diversity program, DIFI. They seek to promote women, racially underrepresented groups, and LGBTQ+ individuals in the financial services industry. The DIFI Program consists of weekly meetings, speaker sessions, networking, shadowing, and 1 on 1 support all in an effort to teach participants everything they need to know in order to be successful. Applications can be found here and are due by Tuesday, September 26th at 11:59 pm.

UMass Opportunities

  • MEF Fund: The Minuteman Equity Fund is looking for freshmen and sophomores of diverse backgrounds and all majors to enroll in their Diversity Development Program. This is a 9-week program that will offer students an opportunity to learn about the financial industry, equity research, and manage a fund of around $400,00.   • GenHERation: GenHERation is a network where young women and companies connect. They will be hosting a series of opportunity panels this fall, the first being for NASA on September 27th from 4-4:45 PM, register here. They have many partnerships and are advertising sales, risk control, and physical and emotional well-being consult internships at Gallagher an insurance, risk management, and consulting services firm.
