Kristen Eckler

Kristen Eckler, a sophomore marketing major, is actually new to Isenberg. She transferred in at the beginning of this year after spending her freshman year as an economics major! She got her “congratulations” email over the summer, adjusted her schedule, and hasn’t looked back. She said that after transferring, her start in getting involved was slow, but now she’s involved in multiple Isenberg clubs. Kristen has also learned just how to get the most out of her school — she has a deep appreciation for Isenberg’s resources, like the Chase Career Center. She feels like she’s getting the best preparation possible for the years to come!

Kristen actually joined Women in Business just this semester! She heard good things about the club from her friends and peers who were already involved; it was easy to decide that she wanted to be a part of it. Her favorite parts about WiB include the beneficial speakers, the fact that it’s never a pointless meeting or a waste of time, and she especially loves that it’s woman-based. She’s a member of the marketing committee, specifically on the Instagram subcommittee! Kristen is also in Isenberg’s Marketing Club’s community service committee. Recently, she was involved in a bake sale for Sisters on the Runway, which raises money for protecting victims of domestic abuse.

Of course she would like a job in marketing someday, but she’s still exploring which aspect of the field intrigues her most (although she did mention product research and advertising). Outside of school and work, Kristen loves shopping, staying active, and listen to whatever music catches her interest.
